Hardness : <=61 (rolled);  <=57(annealed)

C55 steel plate is one mainly of high carbon steel. EN 10083 C55 steel plate is a

medium carbon steel.C55 is used when greater strength and hardness is desired than in the "as rolled"condition.Extreme size accuracy,straightness and concentricity combined to minimize wear in high speed applications.Turned,ground and polished.The C55 steel is applied in quenched and subsequently tempered steel for less exacting springs,shafts,bushings,crankshafts,etc.
